Eyes— Causes irritation experienced a stinging discomfort, pain, tearing or redness.

Skin— Prolonged and continuous exposure may cause defatting and drying of skin.

Inhalation—Vapor may cause irritation of the respiratory tract.  Avoid inhalation of concentrated vapors.

Ingestion— May cause dizziness, faintness, drowsiness, decreased awareness and responsiveness, lack of coordination, abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Chronic/Long term effects: Repeated or prolonged exposure to ethanol can be irritation to mucosal membranes.

Signs and Symptoms of Overexposure:

Prolonged or repeated skin exposure may cause defatting of skin.  Overexposure by inhalation may cause headache, nausea, dizziness and even loss of consciousness.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated – None Known

Emergency and First Aid Procedures.

Eyes— Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.  Get medical attention immediately.

Skin— Rinse with water.

Inhalation— Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.  If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

Ingestion— Seek medical attention immediately.  Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.  Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow.  Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Section VII – Precautions For Safe Handling and Use

Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled –

Stop all leaks.  Isolate hazard area.  Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering.  Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand, earth). Eliminate all ignition sources.  Prevent runoff from entering drain, sewers, streams or other bodies of water.  Absorb unrecoverable product.  Transfer contaminated absorbent, soil and other materials to containers for disposal.

Waste Disposal Method – Dispose of residue in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

Precautions to be Taken in Handling and Storing –

Follow all MSDS/label precautions even after container is emptied because they may container product residues.  Use with adequate ventilation.  Store in a cool, dry place.  Keep container closed when not in use.

Other Precautions – KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
