Signs and
symptoms of Exposure: Eyes—May cause irritation accompanied by stinging,
tearing, redness, and swelling of eyes. Skin—May cause mild
irritation. Frequent or prolonged contact may cause redness, burning, and
drying and cracking of the skin. May aggravate existing skin conditions.. Inhalation- Inhalation of
small amounts of vapor or mist is not likely to cause harmful effects.
Inhalation of large amounts may irritate the upper respiratory tract and have
slight anesthetic effect. Prolonged overexposure can cause nervous system depression,
mild, temporary changes in the liver, effects on heart and breathing rates,
low blood pressure. Loss of coordination, lung edema, and kidney damage. Ingestion— Ingestion
of small amounts during normal handling and use is not likely to cause harmful
effects. Ingestion of large amounts can cause severe gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Aspiration of material into the lungs can cause
inflammation and other lung injury. |
